We believe that voluntary work brings benefits to the volunteer, the organisation and the wider community. Volunteers are an invaluable resource in the community and should be treated as such. Each volunteer has a unique contribution to make, as well as individual needs that can be satisfied through their volunteering. We believe that everyone will benefit according to the level of investment we make in volunteers and the resources we commit to enhancing the involvement of volunteers.
Volunteering is choosing to do something for the benefit of others, or for your community or the environment, without being paid to do it. Volunteering is open to anyone, and can bring great personal rewards. We believe that everyone has a valuable contribution to make to society.
Volunteering is a great way to:
- Meet people
- Gain work experience
- Make a difference
- Do something you’re passionate about
- Help people
- Get involved in your local community
- Try something new
- Enjoy yourself!
People who choose to volunteer with us are valued members of our small team. We believe that volunteering with us is a reciprocal relationship, with many benefits for both. As a volunteer you can expect an induction, ongoing training and support, a named mentor and opportunities to feedback on the volunteering programme. We are striving to ensure that volunteering at Land and Leaf Collective is accessible to everyone and will provide any necessary additional support or adaptations.
